We respect your privacy. We do not collect any personal information from users unless it's willingly shared — for example, when you reach out to our support or customer service team. We’ll only access or use your data if you've given us clear, written permission to do so.

Non-Personal Information

We may collect certain technical details that are not tied to your personal identity. This includes things like your IP address, software license key, and activation date — purely for service and licensing purposes. No client-specific data or case details are accessed or stored.

How We Use Your Information

Whether personal or technical, we may use the information you provide us for the following reasons:

  • To provide better support: Your input helps us respond more efficiently and solve problems faster.
  • To enhance your experience: Understanding how users interact with the software helps us make improvements and fix issues.
  • To improve the software: Your feedback directly contributes to updates and new features.

Rest assured, we never share your data with third parties — except where it’s essential for delivering a specific service you've requested.

Translation Service (if applicable)

If you choose to use our translation service, only the session details you’ve selected for translation will be shared with the third-party provider. No other case-related information is shared. Please note that Law Surface cannot guarantee the accuracy of translations or their legal relevance.

WhatsApp Integration (if applicable)

When you use the WhatsApp messaging feature, the content you explicitly choose to send (e.g., session updates) is shared once with the third-party WhatsApp API. No other case data is shared or accessed during this process.

Chat Feature (if applicable)

Messages you send via the in-app chat are stored and processed by the third-party chat provider. However, these messages are limited to what you type into the chat — no files or case-related data are included unless you choose to share them.

Access to Your Data

None of our team members at Law Surface are permitted to view, access, or copy your data — not directly or indirectly — without explicit written approval from your organization’s executive director.

How We Protect Your Data

We take your data security seriously. All software is encrypted, and we actively monitor for any unauthorized access attempts. In addition to strong paid protection systems, we use a dedicated backup algorithm to safeguard everything you input. Every customer is assigned a completely separate database and download directory, ensuring complete data isolation and privacy.

Our infrastructure includes advanced firewalls to block online threats. Every file stored on our cloud servers is automatically scanned for malware whenever a user downloads it, and a manual scan is conducted every 1–2 hours using a specialized Microsoft-certified security tool. To further strengthen protection, we also maintain fully encrypted backups on Google’s servers, covering all customer data, databases, and both encrypted and unencrypted software — ensuring nothing is lost in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — ever. The only exception is when we may share anonymous feedback or comments you've provided with trusted business partners, and only in ways that do not compromise your identity or data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

IMS Developers may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date at the bottom of this page. If we introduce any significant changes — especially those involving data access or processing that were not originally stated — we’ll seek your consent before applying those changes.

We recommend reviewing this policy regularly via the software or service interface. By continuing to use our services after any changes are posted, you agree to those updates. Minor updates that do not affect your rights or data use will not require additional notice.

Your Agreement to These Terms

By using our software or services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service. Continued use after any policy updates indicates your acceptance of the changes.

You also have the right to request deletion of your personal data in the following situations:

  • If the processing of your data is unlawful.
  • If the data is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.
  • If your data was shared with a third party, we will take reasonable steps to inform them and ensure its deletion from their systems.
